The 2006 Honda Civic was named by the North American International Auto Show Car of the Year. A panel of International Auto journalists have voted the Honda Civic, the 2006 NAIAS Car of the Year.

The Civic had been competing against the Ford Fusion and the Pontiac Solstice. The Honda Civic Sedan and Coupe are built in Honda’s Aliston, Ontario plant.
